Washers · Kenya · bulk only
Industrial washers supplied into Kenya
Bulk B2B supply only — by the tonne and by the container, never by the box. Send the types, sizes, finishes and quantities on your bill of materials and we quote the consolidated consignment landed through Mombasa, documentation included.

Who buys in Kenya
The washer line is small, and it stops the job when it is missing.
Contractors
Nairobi commercial, warehouse and civils work. Buys flat and hardened washers bagged per connection alongside the bolts, so the crew is never short of the cheapest item on the drawing.
Mines and heavy industry
Cement, quarrying, sugar and processing plants ordering for shutdowns. Spring and serrated washers against vibration on plant and conveyors, with hardness and dimension reports in the document pack.
Fabricators and merchants
Fabricators buying to a bill of materials in mixed sizes, and merchants restocking by the tonne. Both need clear carton marking by type, size and finish rather than one undifferentiated pallet.
Types and standards
What we quote against, and what arrives certified.
We publish no price list and claim no stock on this page — every figure comes back against your actual specification, finish and quantity.
| Flat washers | DIN 125 and DIN 126 to spread load over soft, oversized or coated material. Supplied in plain, zinc plated, hot-dip galvanised and stainless finishes. |
|---|---|
| Hardened structural | EN 14399-6 and ASTM F436 hardened washers under high-strength bolt heads and nuts, so pre-load is not lost into a soft washer face. |
| Spring and serrated | DIN 127 spring and serrated washers where vibration on plant, conveyors and rotating equipment would otherwise loosen the joint. |
| Square taper | Taper washers correcting the flange angle on channel and I-section steelwork in fabrication and structural work. |
| Documentation | Hardness and dimension reports on structural washers, plus the Kenyan pre-export conformity certificate issued against the consignment. |
Mombasa and lead times
Landed through Mombasa, cleared on the corridor.
Corridor
Sea freight to Mombasa, then road or the standard gauge rail service to the Nairobi inland container depot for up-country distribution along the Northern Corridor.
Lead time framing
Typically 6–9 weeks door to door on a full container: 2–4 weeks production, 4–5 weeks sea freight, 1–2 weeks clearing and inland delivery.
Duty and conformity
East African Community common external tariff applies to HS 7318 fasteners, plus VAT, railway development levy and import declaration fee. Kenya operates a pre-export verification of conformity scheme, so inspection is arranged at origin rather than at the port.
Coating for Kenyan exposure
Mombasa and the coastal strip need hot-dip galvanised or Class 4 roofing fixings; Nairobi and the highlands run safely on zinc plated and Class 3, but high-altitude UV still demands bonded EPDM washers.
Container or LCL
Which shipping mode suits the order.
Full container
Washers rarely fill a box on their own, so they usually travel consolidated with the bolt, nut, screw and anchor lines. One bill of lading, one clearance, and the lowest freight cost per tonne across the whole package.
LCL (part container)
Workable for a top-up or a first trial consignment. Freight per tonne is higher and the groupage depot adds handling at both ends, while the conformity and certification work stays exactly the same.
