Anchor corrosion is the quiet failure in Nigerian coastal work. The visible structure gets specified carefully and the anchors holding it down get bought on price, then rust at the interface. Hot-dip galvanised at minimum, stainless 316 where the fixing is exposed or wet.
Oil and gas installations attach load and certification requirements to anchoring, so we supply the manufacturer's data with the consignment and quote to the specified grade rather than an equivalent.

- Why do anchors fail first on Delta structures?
- Because they are usually bought to a lower coating standard than the structure they hold. Match the anchor coating to the exposure and the interface stops being the weak point.
- Can you certify anchors to a project specification?
- We supply the manufacturer's published load and material data with the shipment and quote to the specified grade. Site pull-out testing remains the contractor's scope.
- Is stainless needed on every coastal fixing?
- No. Reserve 316 for exposed and wet positions; hot-dip galvanised is sufficient for sheltered and internal anchoring.
